Forget Airbnb, and forget the hotel. If you want to rent on the Riviera – to live in Antibes or Saint-Tropez rather than pass through – Evasion Riviera is the go-to place. Call them, and they will sort out your stay: the home, the shopping, the car from the airport and the table for dinner.
Evasion Riviera is run by Thomas and his wife, and their service is impeccable – dedicated, personal and second to none. Metro Mode analysed the rental market in Antibes before choosing a partner, and we chose them.

Fifteen homes inside and around the ramparts of Old Antibes, a villa with a pool on the Cap and two flats in Saint-Tropez – with a service that is personal, dedicated and second to none.
01Why we chose them
Before we put our name next to anyone's in Antibes, we looked at all of it: the platforms, the agencies, the concierge services, and the flats let by strangers through an app. What decided it was not the number of homes. It was the way Evasion Riviera looks after people.
Every guest is met. Every request is answered. Every home is kept to the same standard by the same couple, who know the street outside its door. It is the opposite of renting from a stranger – and it is exactly what we would want for ourselves, our families and our readers.
02What they have built
After ten years in finance, the couple left everything behind and moved to the Côte d'Azur – a coast, as they put it, where hospitality and the art of living come first. They brought with them a passion for renovation and decoration, and made it their life: taking unusual properties in the old town and turning them into modern, welcoming homes.
Look at what they have made of it. Stone village houses with terraces on the sea wall. A town house with a private lift and two rooftops. Flats facing the Château Grimaldi where Picasso painted. Exposed stone kept where the old town gave it to them, materials chosen one by one, and every home meant to be a cocoon you make your own from the first evening. Owners now entrust them with their own houses, too – the surest sign of a reputation earned. It is a collection anyone would be proud of, and they should be.

03Old Antibes, from the inside

Almost every Evasion home sits inside the ramparts of the old town or just below them, a few metres from the walls and the sea, a few minutes' walk from La Gravette beach and the Provençal market. This is their speciality, and nobody knows these streets better.
Our favourite homes in the old town
| Home | Where | Why we love it |
|---|---|---|
| The Duck House | On the sea wall | A stone village house with a terrace looking south over the Cap d'Antibes – and art on every wall. |
| Arène House | A minute from Port Vauban | 150 m², a private lift and two rooftops: one with a jacuzzi, one with a barbecue. |
| Revely House | On the ramparts | A 100 m² town house with three en-suite bedrooms and a balcony. |
| The Alta Vista | Above the Provençal market | A maisonette whose living room looks straight down on the market. |
| Strelezia House | A few minutes from La Gravette | A 100 m² town house with two gardens. |
| La Sauvageonne and Le Piaf | Facing the Château Grimaldi | Two flats for two, opposite the château and the Musée Picasso. |
| Le Loulou | Facing the sea | A studio with French windows onto the Mediterranean and a glass roof for the sunsets. |
| Amista House | 200 m from the market | A renovated house with a garden for long lunches. |

04A villa on the Cap
For a family, or friends who want a pool: Villa Saramartel on the Cap d'Antibes – three bedrooms and three bathrooms among olive and pine trees, with a sun deck, a pétanque court and contemporary art in every room.

05Saint-Tropez
The same care travels west, to their second speciality. In the heart of the village, Evasion Riviera has two flats for two – Tapenade and Le Mimosa – renovated and decorated in the same spirit, with the same services: airport pick-up, cleaning in the middle of your stay, laundry, and bookings for a private beach or an excursion.

06What they take care of
All of it on request, and arranged by the same couple who meet you at the door.
| Service | What they do |
|---|---|
| Airport pick-up | From Nice, Marseille or Toulon – a driver meets you, carries the bags and follows your flight if it is late. |
| Your shopping | Done before you arrive, from your own list and local suppliers, and put away in the kitchen. |
| Breakfast | Delivered: pastries and bread from the oven, prepared fruit, fresh juice, coffee and tea. |
| Cleaning and laundry | Cleaning in the middle of your stay with fresh household linen, and a laundry service for your clothes. |
| Bookings | A private beach, a restaurant or an excursion – bikes, a boat for the day, a jet ski or a massage at home. |
| For a honeymoon | Roses waiting in the flat, a bottle of champagne and fine chocolates. |
07The Antibes guide we built together
Metro Mode worked together with Thomas and his wife to develop our guide to Antibes – and much of it was inspired by them, and by what their guests want to know the moment they arrive. Where do we eat tonight? Which beach for the children? What is on this weekend?
Today it is the Metro Mode guide to Antibes – and every Evasion Riviera guest gets it when they rent.
What every Evasion Riviera guest gets
| Included | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| The city guide | The MICHELIN tables, the hotels, the bars for sunset, the walks, everything for children – and what is on this week and every year. |
| The camera | Point it at anything in Antibes: it tells you what it is, the story behind it and what is going on around you. |
| Maps on every place | Google Maps and Apple Maps, one tap from every address. |
| Every chapter to share | Its own link and card, ready to send to the friends who arrive next week. |
| On your home screen | One tap away – and what you have read is there even offline. |
08A camera that tells you what is going on
The guide comes with something no guidebook has: a dedicated camera. It is the companion you carry everywhere in Antibes, and it helps with everything.
Photo: kovalenkovpetr/Adobe StockPoint it at anything. It tells you the rest.
