At the edge of Kitzbühel, Grand Tirolia stands directly on the greens of the Eichenheim Championship Golf Course, with the Kitzbühel Alps filling the view from almost every room. The Kitzbühel Alps are the postcard-perfect backdrop for Grand Tirolia, an upscale hotel with a diverse roster of entertainment and experiences. The alpine ski circuit almost definitely takes top priority, but the après scene (champagne, DJ sets, a jazz club) more than holds its own, too. Even beyond high season, the staff goes to great lengths to enrich stays with a top-notch golf course, superb treks, and all sorts of water sports. With 145 rooms and suites, it is one of the larger resort-style addresses in the valley, built where a golf fairway meets open pasture rather than the town's cobbled lanes. The MICHELIN Guide gives it two Keys, for what it calls an exceptional stay.

145 rooms beside the Eichenheim Championship Golf Course, five minutes from the Hahnenkamm cable car.
01The house
The hotel's current shape is the result of a large expansion rather than a single build. In addition to the 76 renovated rooms and suites, 69 brand new rooms and suites now await guests, combining modern luxury with Tyrolean character, roughly doubling the property without abandoning its chalet-style roofline. Hotel-booking records list the property as Opened: 2022, Renovated: 2025, Number of Rooms: 145, figures that place it among the newest large-format addresses in a town better known for family-run guesthouses than resort-scale hotels.
Today the hotel trades as a member of the Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection, set directly beside Golf Eichenheim, a championship course run as its own operation next door. The result is a hotel built around sport and scenery rather than a historic town-centre façade, with golf, spa and family wings arranged around the fairway rather than a square or a church tower.

02Rooms and suites
The room plan runs from compact Classic Rooms of 26 square metres with forest views up through Superior Rooms (36–52 square metres, facing either the forest or the Alps) and 52-square-metre Deluxe Rooms with balconies fitted with lounge chairs. Suites begin with the 55–64-square-metre Junior Suite and climb through the Superior Suite (64–88 square metres) and the two-bedroom, 99-square-metre Deluxe Suite designed for families.
Insider tipFive minutes by car from the Hahnenkamm cable car; complimentary ski shuttle in winter.
At the top sits the Penthouse Suite, 83 square metres with its own sauna and bunk beds for children, and the Grand Tirolia Suite itself: 320 square metres over two floors, with a private kitchen and dining area, a fireplace, a dressing room and a bathroom built around its own sauna. Standard amenities across the house include bathrobes and slippers, a towel warmer, a safe, Wi-Fi and satellite television, with three fully accessible rooms available on request.
03Where to eat
At the Tirolia hotel restaurant, international cuisine and Alpine influences come together around an open show kitchen, with a dinner menu built on French and Swiss-inflected technique applied to Austrian produce. Breakfast is served here daily and is included in every room rate.
Alternatively, the Gasthaus Eichenheim welcomes guests with modern takes on Tyrolean delicacies and a sun terrace offering sweeping views, and unlike the main restaurant it also takes walk-in guests from outside the hotel, dogs included. Winter brings fondue evenings to its dining room, and reservations are advised for the Tirolia restaurant, particularly in peak season.

04The bar
Rounding out the offerings is The Golden jazz club, which adds a special touch with excellent drinks and regular live events, pairing whiskey tastings with bar food late into the evening. By day, the Cooper Bar handles the quieter trade, a lounge built for wine, spirits and classic cocktails between rounds of golf or a spa session.
05Spa and wellbeing
The Grand Tirolia Kitzbühel combines alpine tranquility with a wide range of wellness experiences for adults and families. At the 1,500-square-metre Grand Alps Spa, reserved for guests aged twelve and over, the day runs through an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna area and massage treatments, while a separate Grand Alps Yoga studio of 288 square metres hosts yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions.
Families have their own wing: the Grand Alps Spa attracts guests with indoor and outdoor pools, a spacious sauna area and stylish relaxation zones, while the new Grand Family Spa offers a feel-good place for families, combining relaxation and panoramic views of the Kitzbühel Alps, with a children's wading pool and bistro attached. In winter, the ice rink invites a few laps; in summer, the swimming pond offers a refreshing way to cool off outside.
06The neighbourhood
Golf is the organising idea of the address: located directly on the legendary Golf Eichenheim Championship Golf Course, the hotel sits beside athletic challenges and natural scenery more usually associated with a country club than a town hotel. The 18-hole Eichenheim Championship Course was designed by renowned golf course architect Kyle Phillips and opened in 2000, spanning 6,092 metres over par 71, with fairways laid through rock faces, deciduous forest and natural streams.
For skiing, the hotel is just five minutes by car from the Hahnenkamm cable car and the gondola to the Kitzbüheler Horn, and in winter a complimentary shuttle service runs to and from Kitzbühel every half and full hour. Guests can also join guided snowshoe hikes starting directly from the hotel, reached without ever touching the town's main square.
07Making the most of a stay
Families travelling with children should look to the Kids' Club with its indoor playground and the on-site cinema, alongside the children's pool area in the Grand Family Spa, while golfers can combine a stay with discounted green fees on the course outside the door. A hotel app consolidates dining bookings, spa times and local recommendations for guests who would rather not call down to reception.
