Ossobuco occupies the ground floor of Sentral Wynwood, where a wood-burning grill sits in full view of the dining room and does most of the talking. The restaurant opened on 26 October 2023, brought to Miami by Argentina's ALCUR Group, a hospitality operator rooted in Rosario, and built its entire menu around the idea that fire, not seasoning, is the defining ingredient. It is Selected in the MICHELIN Guide, recognition for a kitchen that treats a steakhouse format as a platform for something more exploratory: charred vegetables, smoked offal and Josper-grilled seafood sitting alongside the dry-aged cuts. The room itself, all glossy wood and stone under spotlights, was built to put every table within sight of the flames, so that the asador lighting the grill becomes part of the evening rather than a backstage detail. It is a restaurant that wants to be watched as much as eaten.

Chef Guillermo Eleicegui grills nearly everything on the menu over wood fire, from tartare to the ossobuco empanada.
01The room and the setting
Ossobuco sits inside Complex Sentral, the Wynwood apartment building that the restaurant describes as home to more than 15,000 residents with extended leases and overnight guests annually across 175 designer-furnished apartments. The dining room is built around a roaring, wood-burning grill, with glossy wood tables and a handsome bar catching the light from spotlights overhead, and it spills out to a leafy courtyard and terrace. A private VIP room seats parties of six to twelve, and a chef's counter faces the fire directly for those who want to watch the grill work up close.
The building itself sets the tone: Sentral Wynwood was conceived by one of Miami's most acclaimed design firms, and the restaurant's sleek wood finishes and spotlight architecture play off that backdrop, with the open kitchen's fire pit as the visual anchor of the room.

02The chef
Guillermo Eleicegui is the Argentine chef and self-styled Grill Master behind Ossobuco, a cook whose résumé runs through Sugarcane, the Delano and a stint as executive chef at the Hilton West Palm Beach before he arrived in Wynwood. His approach treats the grill as a universal technique rather than a single cuisine's signature, applying open-fire cooking to a global repertoire of proteins and vegetables rather than a strict Argentine parrilla. At the opening in 2023 he described fire as the heart of his creative process, a line that still defines how the kitchen plates nearly everything that leaves it, savoury or sweet.

03The cooking
Nearly every dish passes through fire in some form, even the cold starters and some of the cocktails. The steakhouse backbone runs through dry-aged cuts, a tomahawk, and smoked lamb chops with pistachio dukkah, but the lighter register is where the kitchen takes more risks: smoked baby beets with ricotta mousse, sweetbreads paired with a wagyu potato purée, and grilled octopus. The signature dish remains the ossobuco empanada, a slow-braised nod to the restaurant's name, served alongside ossobuco croquetas with truffle aioli.
04What to order
Start with the harissa tuna tartare, built on eggplant conserva, currants and tahini yogurt, or the beef carpaccio with arugula and balsamic aioli. The ossobuco empanada and its croquetas cousin are the dishes regulars return for. From the grill, the dry-aged ribeye, the smoked lamb chops with pistachio dukkah and the Josper-grilled salmon with corn purée and salsa criolla cover both ends of the menu. Ricotta gnocchi finished with ossobuco ragout and parmesan works as a middle course, and desserts run to a warm triple-chocolate cookie and an ube cheesecake empanada with coconut caramel.

05When to go and booking
Ossobuco in Wynwood serves dinner Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 10pm, Friday and Saturday until 11pm, and Sunday from 4pm to 10pm, as listed on the restaurant's own site in October 2026. A separate location in Aventura keeps longer hours, open daily from noon to 10pm, while the original Coconut Grove outpost is temporarily closed. Reservations for the Wynwood dining room can be made directly, and the restaurant also runs a prepaid Woodfire Tasting counter experience in front of the grill for up to six guests.
06The neighbourhood
Wynwood built its reputation on street art and warehouse conversions, and Ossobuco sits in one of the newer waves of that change: a ground-floor restaurant inside a glass-and-concrete residential complex on a stretch of NW 27th Street that, as one reviewer noted, remains comparatively quiet for the district. The Wynwood Walls murals and the neighbourhood's galleries are a short walk away, making the restaurant a natural stop before or after an afternoon spent among the area's street art and design studios.
