Forty minutes beyond Park City's lift lines, along a dirt road that climbs into the Wasatch foothills, The Lodge at Blue Sky occupies a 4,000-acre ranch set between two mountain ranges, with the Uintas and the Wasatch offering everything from summer fly-fishing to backcountry skiing in winter. Accommodation splits into three types — suites with views of the Wasatch Mountains, rooms built into a lush hillside and free-standing cabins beside a rushing creek — each finished in earth-toned interiors drawn from the land outside the window. The pace favours horseback rides, high-alpine hikes and a working farm that feeds the kitchen over organised itineraries. The MICHELIN Guide awards the Lodge Two Keys, its distinction for an exceptional stay, placing it among a small number of American properties recognised for how completely design, service and landscape work together. Adults tend to book the Creek Houses; families spread into the Sky Lodge suites, home to the restaurant, bar and event spaces.

MICHELIN Guide
Two MICHELIN Keys

Cliffside rooms, hillside suites and creekside cabins spread across a working ranch with its own farm, spa and distillery.

01The house

The address is Wanship, Utah, a short drive from downtown Park City, with the 4,000 acres stretching across the seam between the Wasatch and Uinta ranges — close enough to the resorts for a day of skiing, remote enough that the ranch supplies much of what lands on the table.

More recently, Auberge has extended Blue Sky from resort into residence. The Residences at Blue Sky is a residential expansion built across the same 4,000 acres, marking the property's evolution into a fully integrated private community, with three real estate offerings — Farm Estate Lots, Farmhouses and Crescent Lodge Villas.

02Rooms and suites

Only 46 keys sit across the property. In the central Sky Lodge, nineteen rooms and suites sit steps from the restaurant and bar, including two-bedroom Signature Suites with over 2,000 square feet for families. Up the hillside, sixteen Earth Suites and six Earth Suite Deluxes are built into the slope with private terraces and outdoor fireplaces facing the canyon. Down by the water, the adults-only Creek Houses are open-plan one-bedroom suites strung beside Alexander Creek.

Insider tip

Closed a few weeks each April and November; book Yuta or WildKitchen well ahead.

Suites range from an intimate 600 square feet to 2,500 square feet, and every room opens onto its own outdoor space.

03Where to eat

The signature restaurant, Yuta, is run by Executive Chef Guillermo Tellez, a native of Michoacán, Mexico, and the first recipient of the James Beard Foundation's Felipe Rojas-Lombardi Award of Achievement for Hispanic Chefs. His menu follows thirty years of cooking that passed through Charlie Trotter's in New York and Flora Farms in Baja California, and leans on produce grown at the resort's own Gracie's Farm, tended by an all-female team known as the FarmHers. The restaurant earned Four Stars from Forbes Travel Guide and a Wine Spectator Best of Excellence Award in 2026.

Between late May and the end of October, Blue Sky hosts the U.S. debut of WildKitchen, the open-fire cooking concept created by Guy Ritchie. The dinners revolve around a 24-seat communal table hosting a single nightly seating, reached by the resort's ATVs or house cars, sometimes via a guided excursion that tracks wildlife along the way, before a menu built around Gracie's Farm's harvest and locally sourced proteins, cooked by a rotating line-up of guest chefs.

Every Monday and Tuesday, Chef Tellez moves the kitchen to a secluded mountaintop yurt for the Tacocat Speakeasy, pairing cocktails with Mexican small plates. On the grounds, too, stands High West Distillery & Tasting Room, which opened in 2006 as Utah's first legal distillery in more than a century, with its own restaurant, The Refectory.

04The bar

The Bar pours High West whiskey cocktails made with herbs cut that morning at Gracie's Farm, alongside craft Utah beers, served either fireside or on a terrace with canyon views.

In winter, Blue Sky runs its own Ski Lounge at the base of the Silver Star chairlift at Park City Mountain, a private, slopeside spot reserved for Lodge guests coming off the mountain.

05Spa and wellbeing

Edge Spa is built on a precipice above Alexander Creek, its five treatment rooms facing the water below. Treatments use bloom-to-bottle products grown or wild-harvested on the ranch, and the movement programme runs from yoga to vertical vinyasa, an aerial practice on silk hammocks strung from trees nearby. Along the creek bank, the Edge Sanctuary — a glamping tent warmed by a wood fire in colder months — is reserved for sound baths and energy work.

Two outdoor pools complete the wellness offer, open through the seasons for guests moving between the spa, the farm and the trails.

06The neighbourhood

Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley are both within thirty minutes of the Lodge, and Park City's Main Street is roughly a twenty-minute drive beyond that, so guests can ski a full day on groomed runs and still make it back for dinner.

Salt Lake City International Airport is about a forty-minute drive, which keeps Blue Sky reachable despite how disconnected it feels once the gate closes behind the car.

07Making the most of a stay

The hotel recommends five to seven nights to work through its seasonal experiences, wellness offerings and curated adventures, and closes for a few weeks each April and November between seasons, so it's worth checking dates before booking.

Guests are free to dine at any restaurant on the property regardless of which accommodation they book, and there is no separate resort fee, though a 10% gratuity is added to the room cost and passed on in full to staff.

The resort's Auberge Concert Series has brought Grammy-winning artists Maren Morris and LeAnn Rimes, along with musician and actor Luke Grimes, to intimate sets against the Wasatch skyline.
