Five minutes on foot from the plane-tree shade of Place des Lices, Villa Cosy keeps a different rhythm from the yachts and VIP tables that define Saint-Tropez's reputation. This five-star boutique address on the chemin de la Belle Isnarde holds 25 rooms, suites and a private villa, arranged around a pool heated year-round and a vineyard that supplies the house's own red wine. There is no restaurant open to passing diners here: menus are composed entirely around each guest, and a glass-floored cellar beneath the bar holds more than a thousand bottles. The MICHELIN Guide lists Villa Cosy among its selected addresses in Saint-Tropez. Run with the attentiveness of a private house rather than a hotel group, it draws a traveller who has already done the famous terraces and, this time, wants the quiet seat instead.

Villa Cosy sits back from the harbour crowds on a country lane, around a heated pool and estate vines.
01The house
Villa Cosy's defining asset is not its address but what fills it. What separates it from other luxury hotels in town is an extensive private art collection, built up over years rather than installed for effect: works by Richard Orlinski, Joseph Klibansky, Yaniv Edery and Rubinstein share rooms with original furniture by Charlotte Perriand, Charles and Ray Eames, Le Corbusier, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton and Eero Saarinen. The hotel has recently enlisted François Vieillecroze — the architect behind some of the Côte d'Azur's most celebrated addresses, including Lou Pinet and Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez — to refine the estate's design direction further, deepening its Riviera feel without losing the intimacy that sets it apart.
The property carries the Green Key environmental label and Atout France's five-star classification. Two categories of rooms are adapted for guests with reduced mobility, and the spa is reached by lift, a detail the hotel states plainly on its own accessibility page.

02Rooms and suites
The 25 rooms and suites are arranged on the ground and first floors around the pool or looking out over Saint-Tropez's rare vineyards. Seven Privilege Rooms run to 24–25 square metres with king or twin beds and a private terrace; two Luxury Rooms add a mezzanine bedroom and bathtub at 35 square metres. The seven Junior Suites, at 40–45 square metres, are furnished with the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton's VP Globe pendant lights, Corian bathtubs and Japanese-style toilets, each terrace facing the vines or the Saint-Tropez bell tower.
Insider tipNo outside dining; menus and wine are made only for residents, with a 24-hour concierge.
Above these sit the Garden Suite, Superior Suites, the Master-Suite and the Riviera Suite — at 120 square metres, one of the largest private suites in Saint-Tropez. For groups, Villa Eucleia offers a separate private villa for up to 14 guests, with its own pool, sauna and gym, and a dedicated butler and housekeeper.
03Where to eat
There is no restaurant open to outside diners or shared reservations: bespoke menus are created around every guest's preferences and served exclusively to residents. At the heart of the estate, a private vineyard produces red wine that is served only on the property — a personal, almost domestic touch rare among five-star addresses on this coast.
Breakfast is served around the clock, whatever hour a guest wakes, built from fresh produce made to order. Room service runs on a similarly generous logic: fresh salads, cheese boards and charcuterie to share, available 24 hours a day in season from Easter to the end of October, and from 8am to 9pm the rest of the year.

04The bar and wine cellar
The Cosy Bar is reserved for guests only, a deliberate choice to guarantee privacy rather than fill seats. From its armchairs, you look straight down through the glass floor into the wine cellar below, where bottles age behind glass as part of the room's architecture. The wine cellar extends the experience further, with over 1,000 bottles available, including more than thirty champagne references, Grands Crus and the estate's own local wine, tasted on request with the in-house sommelier or ordered through 24-hour room service.
05Spa and wellbeing
The Spa by Sothys combines a sensory shower, steam room, sauna, two treatment rooms and a herbal tea room, with an ice fountain and walls of Himalayan salt built into the design for their soothing as much as their decorative effect. Signature face and body treatments are offered alongside the full Sothys card, and the fitness room runs Technogym cardio and strength equipment plus a Power Plate, open daily from 7am to 8pm.
The main pool, heated through the year, measures 15 by 6 metres and is framed by a teak deck for sunbathing or a poolside lunch. The adults-only Zen Area adds a hot tub for up to ten people and day beds set among the vineyard, open from 9am to 9pm.
06The neighbourhood
Less than 500 metres from Place des Lices and its terraces shaded by hundred-year-old plane trees, Villa Cosy sits back on a quiet country lane away from the harbourfront crowds, yet close enough to walk to the market, the Vieux Port and La Citadelle when the mood turns towards town.
07Making the most of a stay
Villa Cosy operates year-round, with a 24-hour concierge and room service in season, and a seminar and privatisation programme for groups wanting the whole address to themselves. The hotel also publishes seasonal offers — a romantic stay, an autumn escape, a getaway with a private hot tub — alongside gift boxes for spa days or overnight stays, worth checking before booking directly.
