London is one of Europe's great food cities, and the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2026 confirms it. When the guide was presented in February 2026 – at a ceremony at Dublin's convention centre, according to Great British Chefs – all six three-star restaurants in London kept their stars, and two more received their second. Here are the city's three- and two-star restaurants, with the areas as given by MICHELIN itself.

Three MICHELIN stars in London 2026
In the MICHELIN Guide's language, three stars mean exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey. London has six such restaurants: three in Mayfair, two in Notting Hill and one in Chelsea.
Two of them are in hotels. Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, in the hotel on the corner of Carlos Place and Mount Street, received its third star in 2021. Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is in the hotel on Park Lane. The Ledbury takes its name from its street in Notting Hill, Ledbury Road, and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is in Chelsea, not far from Chelsea Physic Garden.
Two MICHELIN stars in London 2026
Fifteen restaurants in London have two stars in the 2026 guide. They are more spread out than the three-star ones: from Mayfair and St James's to Shoreditch, Bethnal Green and Southwark. New in the 2026 guide
No new three-star restaurants were added this year, but all the existing ones retained their status, according to Great British Chefs. The new two-star restaurants are Row on 5 and Bonheur by Matt Abé, both in Mayfair. Among the new one-star restaurants in London are Michael Caines at The Stafford and Somssi by Jihun Kim at Mandarin Oriental, both in Mayfair, Tom Brown at The Capital in Knightsbridge, Corenucopia by Clare Smyth in Chelsea, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High in Bishopsgate and Legado in Shoreditch.
In London, Green Stars for sustainable gastronomy went to Apricity, Petersham Nurseries Café and St. Barts, according to The Staff Canteen.
How to book a table at London's starred restaurants
The three-star restaurants usually release their tables in batches several weeks or months in advance, and the most popular times are snapped up immediately. Lunch is often easier to get than dinner. Why not combine dinner with a night at the hotel: both The Connaught and The Dorchester have their three-star restaurants on site.
