Fashion houses opening restaurants is no longer a novelty, but few have been taken as seriously as this one. In the summer of 2022 Louis Vuitton opened a seasonal restaurant on the terrace of the White 1921 hotel, between the Place des Lices and its own boutique. It is run by Arnaud Donckele, the chef of three-star La Vague d'Or, and the pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, and the 2026 MICHELIN Guide lists it with one star.
This is what to expect: the courtyard, the two chefs and their menu, and what to know about the season and booking.

A garden courtyard at the White 1921 hotel off the Place des Lices, with Mediterranean cooking by Arnaud Donckele and pastry by Maxime Frédéric.
01A courtyard off the Place des Lices
The MICHELIN inspectors describe an alfresco summer restaurant in the courtyard of a former village doctors' house, now the White 1921 hotel, its white façade shaded by a large umbrella pine. Blue-and-white stripes, greenery and touches of terracotta set the tone. Saint-Tropez Tourisme counts 60 seats, 30 of them outdoors.
02Two chefs from Normandy
Arnaud Donckele holds three stars at La Vague d'Or on the Plage de la Bouillabaisse and three more at Plénitude in Paris. Maxime Frédéric, his colleague at Cheval Blanc Paris, runs Louis Vuitton's café and chocolate shop in Paris; the two share Norman roots and, according to the style magazine The Stylemate, a taste for simplicity and authenticity. Their collaboration has grown into the Louis Vuitton Culinary Community, through which the two chefs mentor young cooks.
Insider tipSummer only. Booking required for dinner; afternoon tea without booking.
The MICHELIN Guide calls the food Mediterranean with globetrotting influences and says the produce is chosen with the same care as at La Vague d'Or. The inspectors single out John Dory roasted in seaweed with a coconut, lemongrass and kumquat emulsion, and raw greater amberjack in a coconut and sweet pepper leche de tigre. The house signature is a dessert: an iced chocolate wafer served in the manner of a profiterole.
03Lunch, tea and dinner
Louis Vuitton describes three moments in the day: a summer lunch menu of creative dishes between land and sea, an afternoon tea of desserts and cold drinks for which no booking is needed, and a dinner menu inspired by the house's spirit of travel. Saint-Tropez Tourisme gives the price of the lunch and dinner menu as €200. Gluten-free and vegetarian dishes are available.
04Season and booking
The restaurant opens for the summer only. In 2026 it opened in early May and, according to Saint-Tropez Tourisme, closed on 4 October; dates for 2027 had not been announced when we checked on 25 October 2026. In season it is open every day. Booking is recommended at lunch and required at dinner, through the reservation link on Louis Vuitton's website; the MICHELIN Guide lists the telephone number +33 4 94 45 50 50.
