Frantzén – Stockholm's three-star restaurant
Frantzén, the chef Björn Frantzén’s restaurant in Norrmalm, won its third star in the Nordic guide in 2018. The MICHELIN Guides’ international director Michael Ellis said at the time that Frantzén had created “a unique vision of Nordic cooking”. The restaurant has kept its three stars ever since and remains Stockholm’s only three-star restaurant in the 2026 guide, according to HurBra.
Aira on Djurgården – two stars
Aira is on Djurgården and won its second star in 2023, according to SVT. In the 2026 guide, MICHELIN singled the restaurant out again: Carl Frosterud at Aira received the guide's Service Award for outstanding service.
This year's opening: ADAM ALBIN on Regeringsgatan
ADAM ALBIN, run by Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman, reopened in new premises at Regeringsgatan 2 in April 2026 and received the guide's Opening of the Year award. The restaurant has one star. In the same guide, MICHELIN also included Ett Hem and Sperling & Co among the recommended restaurants in Stockholm.
Stockholm's one-star restaurants
The breadth shows among the one-star restaurants. Japanese cooking can be found at Sushi Sho and Dashi, Nordic fire-based cooking at Ekstedt, fish and seafood at Seafood Gastro, and the most classic of them all is Operakällaren by Kungsträdgården. The list below is based on HurBra's compilation of the 2026 guide and matches Dagens PS's list for 2025, with the addition of ergo.
How to get a table at Stockholm's starred restaurants
Frantzén and Aira release tables well in advance, and the most sought-after evenings sell out quickly. Plan the dinner first and the rest of the weekend around it. The one-star restaurants are often easier to book, and several have smaller menus or bar seating. In Stockholm the starred restaurants are close to one another – most can be reached on foot from Norrmalm and Östermalm, and Aira with a short taxi ride out to Djurgården.
